We’re in Phoenix Arizona but we have clients all over the country. Business Blogging Pros was founded in 2005, making us one of the oldest social media marketing firms in the valley.

Our name is “Business Blogging Pros” because blogging was just about the only form of social media when the company was founded. We are equally well-versed in most of the major social media tools (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, UStream, FourSquare, Vimeo, Viddler, etc)

We Operate At The Intersection Of Thought Leadership And Pragmatism

We’re pretty hard-nosed about the social media tools we recommend and employ. It’s easy to get seduced by every bright shiny new social media website, and we’ve watched many people fall prey to this very syndrome.

We operate at the intersection of thought-leadership and pragmatism. That means that on one hand, we have our fingers on the pulse of social media. We think we know where it is going. (For example, Facebook surpassing Google as the number 1 site on the internet is not just an interesting factoid. It is a telltale sign.) We’re plugged into some of the Internet’s futurists who ten years ago predicted exactly what we’re seeing today. We keep abreast of new developments and play with most of the new tools and sites when they appear.

On the other hand, we try out a lot of tools you’ll never hear us talking about or recommending. We recommend and deploy only tools and tactics that have proven to be truly useful to small business owners. We won’t waste your time with tools just because they are cool or fun.

Business Blogging Pros is my brainchild. I’m Dave Barnhart. I’ve been neck-deep in the Internet since the days when the most powerful search tools were named “gopher” and “veronica”. My background is a unique combination of business, marketing, and technical.

As a Baby Boomer and business owner, I understand what my fellow Boomer business owners are going through. I know what it is like to build a business from the ground up. You deal with the challenge of creating enough revenue not just to keep the business going another month but to actually grow it. You learn everything you can to give your the business the edge and not sink in the tar pits like the dinosaurs of the past. And that means mastering technologies that didn’t even exist when you were growing up.

The economic landscape is changing before our very eyes. The old ways of getting new clients and retaining old ones seem barely effective today (most people don’t even own the Yellow Pages, for example).

You know that in order to thrive, social media must become a part of your business but it seems like there’s a lot to learn. You don’t know where to start. You need a roadmap. I’m here to give you that roadmap. That’s why I founded Business Blogging Pros.
